PlayGC Theatre Company

A London and West Country based theatre company, founded by Robert Gordon Clark and Lisa Day in 2020.  
Our aim is to produce modern classics, rediscovered gems and new writing, and to support young talent in the theatre industry.    

LATEST NEWS:  PlayGC Theatre Company and the Alan Davidson Foundation were delighted to announce the launch earlier this year of a new £60,000 UK Theatre Writing bursary called the Davidson PlayGC Bursary which has been established to support theatres and writers to produce new work. The first bursary of £20K was awarded to the Royal Court Theatre in London whose new Artistic Director, David Byrne selected the young playwright Oli Forsyth as the recipient. Oli's new play BRACE BRACE will be premiered from Thursday 3 October to Saturday 9 November in the Jerwood Theatre Upstairs at the Royal Court.

PLUS Our show Glory of the Garden again won the 'Best Poetry & Spoken Word Performance' Award at The Shaftesbury Fringe 2024. See /glory-of-the-garden for photos and audience feedback on our successful Summer 2024 tour.

AND our new project The Four Seasons had a trial staging in London in August. This is now being developed further in response to much enthusiastic and constructive audience feedback.

FINALLY PlayGC Theatre Company is due to be taking The Letter of Last Resort by David Greig to an off Broadway Theatre in New York next Spring.
